Beatrice Marlene “Bea” Eppert, 77 of Syracuse, IN passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Millers Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on September 20, 1935 in Goshen, IN to Charles Howard & Emma Laverne (Bailey) Johnson.

She was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Warsaw High School. On July 4, 1966 in Rome City, IN she married Earl Eppert who preceded her in 1992. She was a retired as a nurse’s aide from Avalon Village in Ligonier after several years of service. She was a member of Benton Free Baptist Church and Eagles Aerie 3760 in Syracuse.

She is survived by:
2 Daughters - Mrs. Scott (Connie Sue) Amsden of Milford & Mrs. Roger (Melinda Lou) Cannon of Syracuse
2 Sons – Leonard Allen (wife, Cindy) of Vandalia, MI & Steven “Mike” (wife, Peggy) Eppert of Syracuse
12 Grand, 22 Gt. Grand, & 2 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren
Sister – Betty (Dale) Clouse of Albion
4 Brothers – Delbert (wife, Shirley) Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Roger (wife, Connie) Johnson all of Albion, & Harold (wife, Shirley) Johnson of Avilla

She is preceded by her parents, husband, daughter – Rebecca Bills, granddaughter – Michelle Eppert, & grandson – Samuel Cannon, 2 sisters – Loretta Clark & Lottie Ley, 2 brothers – Jack Johnson & Wesley Johnson.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Lenny Krebs of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.

Memorial bequest may be given to Animal Welfare League, 3498 E. 100S, Pierceton, In 46562 or Benton Free Baptist Church, 67939 Mission St., Goshen, IN 46526.

I am so sorry to hear of Bea's passing away i wish to send my condolences. Kathryn Joan Secrist was my wife. We both loved Bea a lot. She wa a good friend to both of us.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was an outstanding person. I remember when she sold Avon to mom. I looked forward to her visits. I did not realize that it was your mom I pulled over for at the stop light at Dairy Queen. My prayers are with you and your family.
