Dan Shepherd, 72, of North Webster, IN passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Warsaw Meadows Nursing Home in Warsaw, IN. He was born on August 18, 1939 in Gunlock, KY to Frank & Ella (Wireman) Shepherd.
 
He attended Burket Schools and was married on August 12, 1962 in Silver Lake, IN to Linda S. Wagoner who survives. He grew up in Silver Lake, lived in San Fernando Valley, CA for 22 years before moving to North Webster in 1984. He was formerly employed at Phillips Manufacturing in Syracuse for several years and Steve’s Transmission Service in Sepulveda, CA for 20 years.
 
He is survived by:
Wife – Linda Shepherd of North Webster
2 Sons- Jeffrey (wife, Julie) Shepherd of Sugar Loaf, CA & Michael (wife, Angela) Shepherd of North Webster
4 Grandchildren – Jeffrey Shepherd, Julian Shepherd, Ashlee Shepherd, & Scott Shepherd
4 Sisters- Mrs. Junior (Thelma) Jackson of North Manchester; Mrs. Cecil (Ocie) Shoemaker of Akron, IN; Cynthia Jane Harmon of Wabash, IN; & Mrs. Gary (Avanell) Smith of Akron, IN
4 Brothers- Johnny (wife, Jackie) Shepherd of Silver Lake, IN; Chester Shepherd of Warsaw, IN; Joe Cephus Shepherd of Disco, IN; & Jeff (wife, Vicki) Shepherd of Leesburg
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters – Opal Shepherd & Betty Fletcher, 3 brothers – Estel, Henry, & Lee Shepherd.                               
 
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & C.R. 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Jack Stump along with Rev. Mark Wagoner of the First Church of God in Neon, KY will be officiating. Burial will follow in the North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition)
 

Memorial bequest may be given to North Webster EMS, P.O. Box 144, North Webster, IN 46555 or North Webster Community Center, P.O. Box 379, North Webster, IN 46555. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
