Earl John “E.J.” Campbell Jr., 57, of North Webster, IN passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at his home. He was born on April 22, 1955 in Bloomington, IL to Earl John & Betty Jean (Crawford) Campbell.
 
He attended Bloomington High School in Bloomington, IL, attended Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL and was a United States Marine serving from 1972-1974.   He moved to Indiana about 20 years ago from Illinois. He formerly worked at the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster where he was also a member.
 
He is survived by:
4 Daughters –Mikel Campbell; Tobey Campbell; Mrs. Brad (Anrika) Dithen all of Bloomington, IL; Tessy Campbell of Florida
Son – Jonathon Campbell of Bloomington, IL
11 Grandchildren & 4 Step Grandchildren
Father & Step Mother – Earl & Delores Campbell of Bloomington, IL
Sister – Mrs. Percy (Etta) Buckley of Bloomington, IL
Brother – Frank (wife, Margaret) Campbell of Stanford, IL
4 Half Sisters – Dolly Wilmoth, Mrs. Jeromy (Tina) Bush, Mrs. Larry (Cheryl) Mays all of Bloomington, IL & Jackie Sterling of Michigan
Half Brother – Jimmy (wife, Jennifer) Hoag of Auburn, IN
2 Step Sisters – Mrs. Jim (Velda) Brown & Mrs. Tim (Mary) Trummell
2 Step Brothers – Darryl Williams & Mike (wife, Becky) Williams
 
He was preceded in death by a son – Earl John Campbell III and his mother.
 
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Epworth Forest Rd., North Webster, IN with the American Legion Chaplin officiating. Military services will be performed by the North Webster American Legion Post 253.
 
Memorial bequest may be given to the Earl Campbell Funeral fund, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 72, North Webster, IN 46555.
